Flynn earns LSC weekly honor for second straight week

With 63 digs against Abilene Christian and Angelo State, junior libero Lauren Flynn garnered Co-Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week.
Flynn recorded 27 digs in the Lions' 3-1 win over ACU on Thursday, before collecting 36 against the ASU on Friday, which tied a season-high. She tallied 7.88 digs per set over the two matches and raised her season average to an LSC-best 5.65 dpg.
After totaling 41 digs against Eastern New Mexico (Oct. 9) and West Texas A&M (Oct. 11), and jumping Sara Wedberg's all-time mark for digs in a career at A&M-Commerce, Flynn earned the weekly honor last week as well. It's the fourth time this season she has won the award, and seventh of her career.
The Deer Park, Texas native has helped the Lions to a 13-8 overall record and 5-3 mark in LSC play. A&M-Commerce returns to action on Thursday and will look to improve on that total against Texas Woman's at 7 p.m. in the A&M-Commerce Field House.
