Lauren Flynn Named to the 2009 Daktronics South Central Region First Team
Texas A&M University-Commerce senior libero Lauren Flynn, who was named the Lone Star Conference's libero of the year, was named to the 2009 Daktronics South Central Region Volleyball First Team on Tuesday.
Flynn leads Division II in digs per set with 6.21. She finished her eligibility with an A&M-Commerce single-season record with 795 this fall and the school's career record with 2,640. Flynn was named the Lone Star Conference Libero of the Year and first team all-Lone Star Conference.
Flynn now advances on to the national ballot for all-american honors. It is her second all-region honor after earning second team recognition in 2008.
Joining her on the first team were Pittsburg State's Pamela Cartagena, who was named the region's player of the year along with Arica Shephard of Emporia State, Shawna Hines of Abilene Christian and Melissa Harper, Laura Prinsen and Katie Rickwartz of West Texas A&M.

programmable display systems, is voted on by member of the College
Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
