DAKOTA CROCKETT RECOGNIZED AS SCHOLAR-BALLER AWARD WINNER
A&M-Commerce volleyball player Dakota Crockett has been recognized as a Scholar-Baller program award recipient, in conjunction with the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS). She was presented with her certificate and authentic Scholar-Baller medal during a timeout at the men's baketball game against West Texas A&M on February 15.

A&M-COMMERCE 2011 VOLLEYBALL SEASON REVIEW
Texas A&M University-Commerce closed out the 2011 volleyball season with an overall record of 11-17 and 6-14 in Lone Star Conference play. The Lions finished tied for ninth in the LSC standings with Incarnate Word, one match back of both Texas A&M-Kingsville and Midwestern State.

A&M-Commerce middle blocker Rachel Robertson and setter Jordan Neal have repeated as All-Lone Star Conference selections, announced today by league officials. Robertson was named a first team All-LSC honoree while Neal repeats as a second team selection.

Ezon Onditi had a career night, posting 19 kills and 17 digs, and the Lions won a riveting second-set victory, but 13th-ranked West Texas A&M proved to be too much to handle down the stretch, handing the Lions an 18-25, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25 defeat at the Field House.

Rachel Robertson had arguably her best night in a Lion uniform, knocking down a career-best 24 kills and adding 10 digs for her first career double-double as A&M-Commerce rallied from a 2-0 deficit to upend Incarnate Word 3-2 at the Field House.
