A&M-Commerce continues its four-match homestand with a challenging weekend facing a pair of Lone Star Conference opponents. The Lions host reigning LSC champions and sixth-ranked West Texas A&M on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by a match against Eastern New Mexico on Saturday at 1 p.m. Make note of the early start time on Friday as volleyball will play at 5 p.m. to avoid a potential conflict with women's soccer, which plays later Friday evening.

Synopsis: West Texas A&M has gotten off to a fast start in 2012, winning 10-straight matches after dropping their season-opener. The Lady Buffs have notched a sweep in nine of their 10 victories, including 3-0 sweeps of third-ranked Tampa, fifth-ranked Central Missouri and 10 th-ranked Metro State.
Series Information: A&M-Commerce and West Texas A&M meet for the 44 th time Friday as the Lady Buffs have had the upper hand, leading the all-time series 31-12. West Texas has won the last four meetings between the two, including a 3-0 win in Canyon and a 3-1 decision at the Field House in 2011. The Lions' last win against the Lady Buffs came in a 3-0 victory in Commerce in 2009.

Synopsis: Eastern New Mexico started off the 2012 season hot, winning four of its first six matches, including a 3-1 showing at the West Texas A&M Lady Buff Invitational. The Zias enter the weekend on a four-match losing skid, including dropping their LSC opener to Abilene Christian 3-2 in Portales last Saturday.
Series Information: Saturday marks the 43 rd meeting between A&M-Commerce and Eastern New Mexico as the Lions are 24-18 all-time against the Zias. A&M-Commerce has held the upper hand in recent years between the two, winning seven of the last eight meetings, including a pair of victories in 2011. The Lions are 10-7 all-time against the Zias at the Field House with Eastern New Mexico's last victory in Commerce coming in 2004.
Last Time Out
A&M-Commerce ran into an energetic and efficient Texas Woman's team Tuesday night at the Field House as the Pioneers spoiled the Lions' home opener with a 25-13, 25-21, 25-19 victory. Errors proved to be costly as A&M-Commerce had 25 hitting and seven service errors on the evening, compared to just nine hitting for Texas Woman's. Rachel Robertson once again led the way with 10 kills while Breanne Snyder and Kayla Bond each added eight of their own.
Neal Tabbed Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week
Junior setter Jordan Neal was named the Lone Star Conference Co-Setter of the Week Tuesday, sharing the award with Angelo State's Alex Woolsey. Neal dished out 63 assists, 23 digs, seven service aces and five blocks in helping the Lions to a pair of 3-0 sweeps at Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Kingsville to open up Lone Star Conference play. It is her second LSC weekly accolade of the season as she leads the Lions with eight double-doubles on the year.
A&M-Commerce closes out their four-match homestand on Tuesday, September 25 as the Lions take a break from LSC action. Southeastern Oklahoma State will visit the Field House as A&M-Commerce looks to get a little bit of payback from a 3-2 Savage Storm victory earlier in the year, the Lions' first of the 2012 season. Opening serve against Southeastern Oklahoma State is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
