A&M-Commerce embarks on a crucial four-match Lone Star Conference road trip, beginning with a trip north this weekend. The Lions open up the weekend with a meeting against Midwestern State in Wichita Falls Friday at 7 p.m. before facing Cameron in Lawton, Okla. on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Lions Match 2011 Win Total
A&M-Commerce was hoping for marked improvement in 2011 with its veteran team, and it is already seeing dividends. With the 3-0 victory against Southeastern Oklahoma State Tuesday evening, the Lions notched their 11 th win of the season, equaling the total from the 2011 campaign. Head coach Craig Case, who is in his third season at A&M-Commerce, posted 14 victories in his first season in 2010.

Series: Saturday marks the 43rd meeting between A&M-Commerce and Cameron with the Aggies holding a 22-20 edge in the all-time series. The Lions dominated the early part of the series, winning the first 15 matches, but the Aggies have won 22 of the last 27 meeings, including six of the last seven. Cameron won both meetings in 2011, notching a 3-2 decision in Lawton before defeating the Lions 3-1 in Commerce.
Lions Close Out Homestand With 3-0 Sweep of Savage Storm
A&M-Commerce hosted Southeastern Oklahoma State Tuesday evening at the Field House, looking for a little bit of payback for a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Savage Storm on September 7th. The Lions responded in a major way, sweeping Southeastern Oklahoma behind 11 kills from Breanne Snyder and 10 from Rachel Robertson. A&M-Commerce closed out its four-match homestand with a 2-2 mark and have recorded 3-0 sweeps in nine of it 11 victories on the year.
