Amanda Smith is in her second season as an assistant volleyball coach for Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Smith begins her collegiate coaching career after a standout career for head coach Craig Case at Valley City State University. In 2009, she was named as the Dakota Athletic Conference Libero of the Year, second team all-conference and a six-time selection as the Libero of the Week. She finished the season with a conference-leading 741 digs and 6.50 digs per set. The 6.50 digs were fourth in the nation en route to honorable mention AVCA All-Region recognition.

 The Burnsville, Minnesota natve graduated with her bachelor’s degree in health sciences May 2010.
