John Hill and Jackie Orr Graduate With Honors from A&M-Commerce

Texas A&M University-Commerce student athletic trainer John Hill and volleyball standout Jackie Orr were two of 29 individuals with ties to the athletic department at A&M-Commerce to participate in Saturday's commencement exercises.

Student Athletic Trainer John Hill, who earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training, also graduated with distinction for his efforts in the classroom.


Hill, who earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training, also graduated with distinction for his efforts in the classroom. He also won the Delmar Brown Scholarship for the 2007-08 year and was an intern with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks prior to the fall semester.

Orr, who earned her bachelor's degree in education, also graduated with distinction for her efforts in the classroom. She was a two-time Academic all-Lone Star Conference selection and set the school record for assists in a match with 72. The Mesquite, Texas native has been hired in the fall as a third-grade teacher at A.C. Williams Elementary in Commerce.
