East Texas A&M University Athletics

Ashley Rocke is the original founder and head coach of the Lion Dance Team.  She was given the task of re-establishing the dance team in the 2012-13 season while the university was A&M-Commerce.  The LDT will now kick off their 15th season of dance in East Texas, proudly serving Lion Athletics, the ET campus and community!

Rocke is a 1993 graduate of the University of North Texas and founding president of the UNT chapter of Chi Tau Epsilon.

She worked for the NBA Dallas Mavericks Dancers from 2000-03 as the assistant director, helping with events and appearances beyond the court.   Ashley spent 20 years within the hair industry traveling worldwide as a choreographer and production assistant for Toni & Guy Creative Releases and TIGI haircare, under the direction of Esa Live event management in the UK.  Along with coaching, Ashley is on the operations staff and a private coach at Dance Industry Performing Arts Center in Plano as well as a 5 year educator for Lululemon at Galleria Dallas.  She is a proud mom of one daughter, Zoe, who currently lives in the Bay Area.
